NSO by SOF Olympiad details for Class 2

Science Olympiad Foundation’s (SOF) National Science Olympiad (NSO) Class 2 is taken at two different levels

Level 1: Test taken at the schools of the participants during the regular school hours. Schools get an option of 3 dates which they can choose as per their convenience. 

Level 2: This level is conducted for the qualifiers of level 1, for class 3 to 12. These include:

  • The top 25 rankers: zone as well class wise.
  • The toppers, ie. top 5% class wise, of level 1 test. 
  • A class topper, from a class with at least 10 registrations, who scores a minimum of 50% qualifying marks.

NSO Dates for Class 2 – 2022

DATE ONE – 18th October 2022
DATE TWO – 3rd November 2022
DATE THREE – 1st December 2022

NSO Syllabus for Class-2

Logical Reasoning: Patterns, Odd One Out, Measuring Units, Geometrical Shapes, Analogy, Ranking Test, Grouping of Figures, Embedded Figures, Coding-Decoding.

Science: Plants, Animals, Human Body, Food, Housing and Clothing, Family and Festivals, Good Habits and Safety Rules, Transport and Communication, Air, Water and Rocks, Earth and Universe.

Achievers Section: Higher Order Thinking Questions – Syllabus as per Science Section.
